So, everything went fine, I was taken down from my room at around 9:30, and had to wait for a while on the recovery room until I was taken to the OR. They put me to sleep and then woke up in my room.
The whole thing took around 3 hours, going recovery room-surgery-recovey room-my room. After surgery I ended up with a lot of nausea, trowing up a bunch of foamy saliva, since my stomach was actually empty, and that was the worst day ever.
The next day I had to start drinking water to see if my stomach could actually take it, so I had to start drinking from a little glass and only filling up 1/3, and had to drink that with little sips through an hour. Had to take 4 of those, then 4 of 2/3 and then I could take a whole one. I couldn't even start the last 2/3 one, since I started to feel like shit again, had to lay down on bed and ask for a "life saver", basically a stronger pain medication. Then I had to stay awake until around 00:30 since they needed a blood sample to check for infections and control stuff. Around 2/3 am I had to get up to pee and they had already told me that if I ended up waking up after midnight for something that I should at least walk a round around the halls, that was something that I also had to do though out the day, all to avoid the risk of blood clogs forming on my legs for being in bed too long. I still have to do that, at least until May 20, since until that time I'm in risk of getting something.
Since I had woken up and walked around, and the pain medication had done it's work, I decided to give the drinking tolerance another shot, I started with the last 2/3 one and then got to complete a full glass one, but by then it was almost 7 am and I hadn't really sleep much, so tried to lay down for a little while since I was really tired. To be honest I couldn't get much sleep while in the clinic, I still have some trouble sleeping now.
The following day the surgeon came to check how I was doing with the tolerance, and he said it was good, as long as I was able to drink that whole glass of water, so he sent me a tea over, to see if somthing warm would actually bother my stomach or something, but I didn't have any problem, after a whole day without drinking anything, and then a day only with water sips, I found that simple tea to be awesome.
After that he gave me a few papers explaining my new diet for the following days, only water, tea, vegetable soup (clear) and jello, and said I was ready to go home (:
Now it has already been over a week, on Monday I went to see the surgeon and he took the draining pipe thing, and they allowed me to add some new things on my diet, a little glass of orange juice, lactose free milk and yogurt, apart from that I'm taking vitamins twice a day and need a protein suplement, so my body gets what it needs to heal the wounds.
I've been told that this Monday, May 7, they were going to take the stitches off, I have six of them all around my stomach, which makes sleeping in practically any other position that isn't on my back a pain in the ass xP and that I was going to be able to move on with incorporating new foods, I thinks it's smashed stuff, soft food, kinda like baby food xDD no chunks allowed there, since there is no room for them.
Aaaaand...I think that's all for now, I haven't been on the computer for long, I have checked some silly stuff around but...that's as far as I went, I don't want the blood clogs or dangerous stuff to happen, so I know I have to take the things they said seriously and do my best even if I'm tired or feel unconfortable with the stitches aorund.
Ok, now, I'll say good bye for now (: hope you guys are doing ok too
I will FINALLY be getting surgery, if everything keeps going smooth, it will be on the 20th.
I will take some time to myself after the surgery, and to finish some stuff for uni, after that I will try to come back to DA and be active again, I really miss talking to some of the people I was able to meet here, and I feel bad for distancing from them like I have, but...I hope they understand I was going trough some stuff and that I needed to do so in order to put my head straight and focusing on doing everything I needed to do for this to happen.
Right now I can't really use my notebook, because the power cord it's busted and I need a new one, but don't really have much time to go out and get it xP so I'm kinda stealing my mom's for a while xDD
Hope you guys are doing great, and if not, let me tell you there are better days coming soon (:
